Group Coaching and Facilitation
58% of executives agree that periodically assessing a team’s strengths and weaknesses is the most effective way to promote the health of a team, and 45% say that bringing in outsiders with different opinions is most productive. (Center for Creative Leadership, 2004).
Many of our clients supplement individual coaching with group coaching. This can take place in the form of team retreats, offsites, or a series of onsite meetings. Group coaching and facilitation provides a venue for teams, each member of whom plays a role in its success, to create solutions and strategies for its success.
Group coaching/facilitation creates the 5 most critical components of a team:
- Stable team (Who are we?) - Clear direction (What is our purpose?) - Enabling structure (What are our individual roles and responsibilities?) - Supportive context (How can we ensure that the organization supports our efforts?) - Competent coaching (What resources are available to support us, as a team and as individuals?)
